Improved nappy of the type which comprises an impermeable outer sheet 1 and an inner sheet 2 of nonwoven fabric, these two sheets being connected together and containing an absorbent cellulose mass 3, essentially characterised in that the impermeable outer sheet 1 is sufficiently transparent so that it is possible to see, from the outside, one or more printed marks 4 made on its inner face by means of inks which can be attacked by and which are soluble in the urine and moisture accumulated in the nappy during use thereof, and whose disappearance indicates saturation of the absorption capacity of the nappy. <IMAGE>
