Pressure valve of a rotary piston compressor with cylindrical housing, in the cylinder wall of which valve slots are provided on one side and at least one axial side wall is open in order to form the valve outlet, in which there are provided on the one hand abutments for a circularly curved valve plate from which continuous valve blades are cut, and on the other hand lift catchers, in which in order to prevent irregular distribution of the deflection of the valve blades, when the valve is opened, over their full length, the distance between lift catcher and valve seat is so designed that the valve blades bear against the lift catcher before their flanks can come into contact with the inner wall of the cylindrical housing, and that in order to maintain this distance spacers are provided on the inserted piece.
