摘要 The invention is based on the conventional, so-called graphite tube atomisers for the determination of minute traces of elements by chemical analysis. A disadvantage in this connection is that the cloud of atoms is formed at a time at which it is reduced while it is still being produced as a result of recondensation on colder tube parts and by expulsion with the inert gas which is also heated and is expanding. According to the invention, for example, a tubular thermal ballast is introduced into the atomiser tube (Figure 1) and this ballast brings about delayed atomisation in relation to the heating of the outer graphite tube. As a result, colder tube parts are able to heat up in the meantime and the movements of the gas heated up at the same time have at least substantially decayed. The cloud of atoms is therefore able to form more completely. The measurement consequently becomes more sensitive and the signal obtained is less matrix-dependent than before. <IMAGE>
