PURPOSE:To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition composed of a water-soluble polymer and a (meth)acryl ester monomer giving a water-soluble or water-absorbing polymer, curable with ionizing radiation, peelable easily with water, and having excellent storage stability, pressure-sensitive adhesivity, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective pressure-sensitive adhesive composition is prepared by diluting (A) a water-soluble polymer [preferably a (co)polymer of the (meth)acryl ester monomer, acrylic acid, etc. of formula I (R<1> is H or CH3; R<2> is 2-4C alkylene; R<3> is >=1C alkyl; n is >=1)] with (B) a (meth)acryl ester monomer giving a water-soluble or water-absorbing polymer [preferably (meth)acryl ester monomer, dimethylaminoethyl (meth)acrylate, etc. of formula II (R<1> is H or CH3; R<2> is 2-4C alkylene; R<3> is >=1C alkyl; n is >=1)]. EFFECT:The composition can be applied without necessitating drying energy and sealing treatment. USE:Price label, repulpable tape in paper industry, etc.
