A stable composition to be used in the detection of peroxidase activity is disclosed. The composition comprises: a soluble indicator material; an organic solvent; an oxidising agent capable of oxidising the soluble indicator material in the presence of peroxidase activity; and a buffer. A method for the detection of peroxidase activity and a diagnostic kit for the same are also disclosed. |
