DEVICE FOR PREVENTING COLLISION OF TRAVELING CARRIAGE TYPE EXTRACTOR WITH LIFT BEAM AGAINST DOOR OF HEATING FURNACE

PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of the door of a heating furnace by arranging the titled device in such a way that, when the door of the heating furnace is closed, a mechanical stopper operates to prevent a traveling carriage with a lift beam from advancing by more than a specified point in the direction of the heating furnace. CONSTITUTION:A stopper rod 1 of a traveling carriage (g) is freely vertically movably provided on a guide beam S for traveling of the carriage (g), and a door (t) is freely vertically movably provided on the outlet side e' of a heating furnace (e). The rod 1 and the door (t) are so positioned that the rod 1 is brought in the up position where the rod contacts with the carriage (g) when the door (t) descends to close the outlet port 2 of the furnace (e) and that the rod 1 is brought into the down position where the passage of the carraige (g) is permitted when the door (t) ascends to open the outlet port of the furnace (e). The door (t) of the furnace (e) is thus prevented from being broken by the top end of a lift beam (n).
