PURPOSE:To disperse stress, by providing a pillar, the two sides of which along the width of beams at the upper and lower ends of the pillar, are convexly shaped to dispense with rectangular corners on which the stress would concentrate. CONSTITUTION:The two sides 3 of the upper and lower ends of a quadrangular pillar 2, along the length L of beams 1, are straightly shaped continuously to divergent edges 4. The other two sides 7 of the upper and lower ends of the pillar 2, along the width B of the beams 2, are convexly shaped. As a result, the corners of the upper and lower ends of the pillar 2 to be welded to the beams 1 are made unrectangular to disperse stress when load acts to the pillar 2. |
