PURPOSE:To manufacture active calcium powder which is readily soluble in water an is easily absorbed from the intestinal tract by a relatively simple method by finely grinding calcined oyster shells, adding water to the resulting powder, and reacting them. CONSTITUTION:Shells of various kinds of oysters are heated at 1,500-20,000 deg.C in air for 1-3hr, cooled, and ground to about 100mesh grain size. An adequate amount of water is added to the resulting powder, and they are kneaded. The kneaded material is put in a container and held at about 20-30 deg.C to cause a chemical reaction. By the reaction, white ionized calcium powder of about 200- 350 mesh grain size is obtd.
