PURPOSE:To provide the titled vesicles, by treating animal erythrocyte with a hypotonic solution, fragmentizing the obtained ghost membrane of erythrocyte, and leaving the fragment in an isotonic solution at the temperature of living body to effect the conversion to the vesicle. CONSTITUTION:Animal erythrocytes are washed, and hemolyzed by treating with a hypotonic solution (e.g. hypotonic tris-buffer solution) to obtain ghost membrane of erythrocyte free from hemoglobin and other cytoplasms. The membrane is dispersed in an isotonic solution and fragmentized with shearing force (e.g. ultrasonic irradiation). The concentration of the ghost membrane in the isotonic solution is preferably 0.1-10wt%. The isotonic solution dispersed with the ghost membrane is left at rest for a definite period (e.g. 30-120min) at a definite living body temperature (e.g. 37 deg.C) to obtain vesicles composed of the fragment of erythrocyte ghost membrane. The diameter of the vesicle can be made smaller than that of the capillary vessel, and the vesicle is excellent from the medical viewpoint.
