PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of a vertically moving foot, by providing a projection on a chord which is one of the parts of the foot, and by engaging a contact member between the projection and a vertically moving foot guide for a platform and causing the guides to carry a horizontal reaction force to disperse it. CONSTITUTION:A board 25 is provided on the longitudinal edges of a semicylindrical chord 10 which is one of the parts of a foot 4. Racks 26 are provided on both the ends of the board 25 to optionally move the foot 4 vertically. A projection 27 is welded on the surface of the board 25. A contact member 28 is engaged between the projection 27 and a guide 30. Other contact members 28 are provided betweem the board 25 and open guides 31, in which the racks 26 are moved. When a horizontal reaction force acts to a platform, the force is partially dispersed and carried by the contact member 28 between the guide 30 and the chord 10 of the vertically moving foot 4.
