The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for the thermochemical treatment of residual and waste materials in a fluidised-bed reactor, with cracking of the phenols, as shown in the apparatus diagram of Fig. 1. In the method, the fluidised bed consists of inert fine-grained support substances. Residual and waste materials capable of gasification are mixed with said substances, said substances also consisting of biomasses. The introduction into the fluidised bed is effected separately, but dependent in quantity on each other. The apparatus for carrying out the method consists of a reactor (10) which is followed by a hot-gas filter, a gas cooler being arranged between the reactor and hot-gas filter. An air-filled chamber with dust-removal locks (32, 42) is arranged downstream of the dust outlet of the hot-gas filter (30). <IMAGE>
