A device for removal of physiological voltages or currents has an electrode (1) made of a moisture-tight, flexible cover part (3) made of an electrically non-conductive material, an adhesive layer (4) applied to a large-surface side of the cover part and an electrically conducting conductor part (2) applied next to the adhesive layer. A contact element (5) having a connecting piece (7) can be connected to the conductor from the side. In order to provide a device in which the electrode is designed very simply and cost-efficiently and the contact element can be brought into contact with the conductor part without piercing of the cover part, the conductor part is applied in layers on the cover part and the contact element is designed like a fork having at least three prongs (6, 9, 9a). One of the prongs (6) carries the contact part which can be brought into contact with the conductor part. The cover part can be inserted in the contact element so as to grip over the middle prong and to grip under the two prongs, or vice versa, the contact part coming into contact with the conductor part (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
