1. A method of repairing cracks in road surfaces, having the following features : a mobile groove cutter for traffic surfaces, having a chassis (1), an internal combustion engine (10), a cutter wheel (24) and a drive connection between the drive of the internal combustion engine (10) and the cutter wheel (24) ist guided with the cutter wheel (24) rotating along the cracks to be repaired ; the groove produced is filed with grouting material, characterised by the following steps : a relatively small cutter wheel (24), of a diameter in the range of from 130 to 170 mm, is used ; and the speed of rotation of the cutter wheel (24), after stepping down the engine speed in the range of between 3:1 and 4:1, is so low that water cooling of the cutter wheel (24) can be omitted. |
