PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-resistant Al alloy wire for electric conduction with superior heat resistance and electric conductivity by adding specified percentages of Zr, Fe, B and Be to Al so as to specify the electric conductivity, strength and residual tensile strength. CONSTITUTION:An Al alloy wire consisting of 0.015-0.066% Zr, 0.07-0.33% Fe, <=0.002% B, 0.005-0.1% Be and the balance Al with ordinary impurities and satisfying Fe%/5+Zr%=0.04-0.08% is manufactured. By the synergistic effect of Zr, Fe, B and Be, the heat resnstance of Al is improved without reducing the electric conductivity and strength, so >=60% IACS electric conductivity, strength equal to that of a head Al wire, and >=90% residual tensile strength after heating at 230 deg.C for 1hr are satisfied.
