An industrial truck having a plurality of drives such as travel drive, steering drive and at least one load-carrier drive, has an instruction input arrangement and at least three control instruction signal computers, connected thereto, for the drives. The control instruction signal computers (23-26) are provided, for the instruction input arrangement, in a star connection to a central station (31) at whose input the instruction input arrangement is arranged and which is designed in the form of a single-ship computer with switching of identification memories and comparison arrangement for through-connection to outputs. Here, the number of outputs corresponds at least to the number of all possible function assemblies with drives of an industrial truck, and connection or disconnection of control instruction signal computers (23-26) is provided as a function of the required number. <IMAGE>
