PURPOSE:To remarkably simplify construction and markedly reduce structural hunting at fitting parts, by a method wherein displacements due to ON/OFF operations are absorbed by utilizing a minutely stretchable and contractable property of a belt form body. CONSTITUTION:When a platen knob 7 is pushed in the direction of an arrow 19, a projected part 7-a thereof moves an outer transmitting member 11 in the direction of the arrow 19 against a spring 18, thereby releasing the engagement of tooth parts 11-b, 16-a of a clutch, resulting in an OFF condition wherein no torque is transmitted. In this case, a timing belt 10 is diaplaced following up to the member 11, resulting in a stretched condition. On the other hand, an increase in the length of the belt is extremely minute, and the belt is elastic, so that no trouble is generated. In this condition, a paper is fed by a minute amount by rotating the platen knob 7 by a minute amount. This is effected by transmitting a torque to an inner transmitting member 16 by a rotation stopper 7-c of the platen knob 7 and rotating a platen shaft 2-a. |
