PURPOSE:To secure the safety in drivng by installing a means which detects the rise of temperature over a prescribed value and selects shift, thus applying engine brake. CONSTITUTION:A temperature sensor 2 for detecting the temperature of a brake shoe 1 is installed, and the temperature is measured by a temperature measuring means 3 which is operated by the detection signal of the temperature sensor 2. When the measured temperature exceeds a prescribed temperature level, a shift selecting means 4 is operated by said output signal, and shift is selected on the basis of the temperature and other condition, and the results of said selection are output as shift signal 5a by a shift-signal output means 5. Said shift signal 5a is input into an output delaying means 6 such as timer, and the output is feedback input into a junction point J so that the initial state is recovered after a certain time lapse. |
