PURPOSE:To reduce remarkably an overhead for an expanded address by incorporating picture information of all colors corresponding to picture sections before color resolution into the same space in the expanded address space being the unit of sections in the same bank or the like subject to address expansion. CONSTITUTION:As shown in Fig., picture areas for Y, M, C and BK are incorporated sequentially and repetitively by each 1mm.'s share in the subscanning direction of picture elements. An image memory 2 has addresses of 000000H- 7FFFFFH, they are divided into 16 banks B0-B15, the image memory 2 is accessed by a 20-bit multi-bus address and a 4-bit bank switching signal so as to expand the address space of a computer. Further, a 1-line serial signal inputted from a reader section 1 is stored while being added with an address at each 16- bit. In this case, the picture information of colors B, G, R between 0mm. and 13mm. in the subscanning direction is stored repetitively in the 0th bank B0, i.e., in the area from the head of the image memory 2 to the 524, 288-th byte at each block comprising 1mm.'s share in the subscanning direction and 297mm.'s share in the main scanning direction. |
