PURPOSE:To enable to form a lubricative coating film in a manufacturing line, by applying a liquid lubricant dissolving synthetic resin in it onto a predetermined lip part during the time a glass sliding member after being formed is existent under a heat retaining condition so that said lubricant is dried up with remaining heat in the member. CONSTITUTION:The manufacturing line is one for manufacturing a glass sliding member, e.g. a weather strip material, in which a bright metal plate such as stainless steel is integrally embedded. A resin tape a2 is stuck onto the surface of a stainless steel strip a1 at first. Thereafter, a liquid adhesive agent is applied onto a necessary part other than the part where the resin tape a2 is prestuck. After the adhesive agent is baked, the strip material is bent into a form of L- shaped cross section. The strip material after being bent is subjected to the treatment to reactivate the adhesive agent, and soft PVC is extruded onto said strip material by an extruder 7 to adhesively form the lip part L of said soft PVC. A liquid lubricant to be applied onto the strip material from an applicator 8 in the following line can be rapidly dried up by utilizing heat retained during the forming.
