<p>PURPOSE:To have replacement and repair of a cutting edge safely, easily and quickly by inverting a compression roll of the metal swarf cut and exhaust device with the shaft of intermeidate gear as fulcrum with the whole machine frame. CONSTITUTION:A metal swarf cut and exhaust device is equipped with a mechanism to remove the mechanical parts of compression rolls 1, 2 easily from the cutting mechanism 3. That is, the compression roll 1 at the first stage rotates outside the machine frame 10 to support it while gears 15, 16 mounted on the shaft end are meshing with each other. This rotation is transmitted to the gear 15 through an intermediate gear 17. This intermediate gear 17 is mounted on a shaft 18 borne by a bearing at the oversurface of a lower machine box 7, on which the machine frame 10 is placed, and driven into single-directed intermittent rotation bt a crank 60 or a rod 61 installed in separate crank mechanism through gear 12 mounted on said shaft 18. This shaft 18 penetrates the machine frame 10, which is inverted to the position as shown by the dot-and-dash line in the attached illustration, by holding a handle 19 and lifting it in the direction as shown by dot-and-dash line. Now inspection and repair of cutting edges 30, 31 can be performed.</p> |
