PURPOSE:To enable various hollow articles differing in material and shape to be clamped without damaging by constituting a clamp device for clampling the hollow article from the hollow interior with opening and closing claws of clamping members. CONSTITUTION:A clamp arm 1 is supported by a drive unit to be rotated or reciprocated and vertically moved, and on an end of the arm 1 is mounted a lift cylinder 2. Next, a claw opening and closing cylinder 4 is operated to lower a clamp rod 10 for inserting a guide projection at the end of the rod 10 into a cavity of a hollow article 15. Also, as the clamp rod 10 is lowered, the upper ends 12b of the opening and closing claws 12 abut against the lower end edge of a window 8 of a sleeve so that the upper ends 12b of both claws 12 are pivoted to close each other. Then, the lower ends 12c of the claws 12 are pivoted to open each other to clamp the hollow article with expansion force exerting outward. |
