<p>NEW MATERIAL:The peptide of formula I (R<1> and R<2> are H or lower alkyl; X is CH2 or S; when X is CH2, R<1> is H and R<2> is lower alkyl, and when X is S, R<1> is lower alkyl and R<2> is H). EXAMPLE:Oxazolidin-2-one-4(S)carbonyl-L-histidyl-trans-3-methyl-DL-pro linamide. USE:Remedy for diseases of psychiatric and neurologic fields, such as narcotism, and hypokinesis caused by schizophrenia, depression, spinocerebellar disorder, etc. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be prepared by (1) condensing the alpha-amino-protected His with the compound of formula II using a condensation agent such as DCC, (2) deprotecting the resultant compound of formula III[P is protecting group; (P) is protecting group which may be absent], (3) condensing the product with the compound of formula IV in the same manner as above, and if necessary, (4) deprotecting the obtained compound of formula V.</p> |
