PURPOSE:The titled composition excellent in heat resistance, flame retardancy, chemical resistance, and solvent resistance, prepared by mixing a halogenated epoxy resin with an isopropenylphenol copolymer and an aromatic diamine. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. halogenated epoxy resin of a halogen content of 8- 25wt% (e.g., a bromine-substituted, bisphenol-derived epoxy resin or a mixture thereof with an epoxy resin) is mixed with 50-150pts.wt. isopropenylphenol copolymer of MW of 300-200,000 as a curing agent (e.g., a copolymer of 20- 40wt% acrylonitrile, 20-80wt% isopropenylphenol, and 1-60wt% styrene) and 0.1-5pts.wt. aromatic diamine (e.g., diaminodiphenylmethane). USE:Adhesives, molding materials, laminated sheets, etc.
