PURPOSE:To make up the defect of a molded section around a hole so as to enhance a reinforcing effect, by providing a metal bush for reinforcing the hole at an end of a sythetic resin molded item with a flanged metal fitment that will extend radially of the metal bush, and embedding the metal bush in the synthetic resin molded item. CONSTITUTION:When a metal bush 3 is inserted in a hole 2 formed in an end of a synthetic resin molded item 1 to reinforce the hole 2, the inserted section of the metal bush 3 in the molded item is provided with a flanged metal fitment 7 that will extend radially of the bush 3. For example, the opposite ends of the bush 3 are formed with stepped sections 5, and the circumferential insides of the flanged metal fitments 7 are fitted to the stepped section 5. The flanged metal fitments 7 are embedded in the molded item with the outer circumferential sections of the flanged metal fitments 7 bent inward. The bush 3 and the flanged metal fitments 7 are secured by snug fitting previously.
