PURPOSE:The titled composition that is a combination of 1-(3-methyl-phenyl)-5- phenyl-1H-1,2,4-triazole-3-carbamide and N-(alpha,alpha-dimethylbenzyl)-alpha-bromo-t-butylacetamide. CONSTITUTION:A herbicidal composition for rice plant paddy fields is composed of 1-(3-methylphenyl)-5-phenyl-1H-1,2,4-triazole-3-carbamide, which shows excellent herbicidal effect against URIKAWA (arrowhead), but small effect against other weeds and of N-(alpha,alpha-dimethylbenzyl)-alpha-bromo-t-butylacetamide, which shows excellent effect against weeds of Cyperaceae, and hardly against other weeds, preferably at a weight ratio of 1:(0.8-1.5). The combination of two different herbicide in their activity develops synergism to cause great increase in herbicidal effect and expand its application range.
