PURPOSE:To prevent a print spot from being generated in a printing output of an electrostatic latent image part not yet passed through a toner applicator part, by passing a paper through the toner applicator part at a paper feeding speed for a printing operation, for data immediately before completion of transfer. CONSTITUTION:When paper-feeding codes and paper-feeding signals for a printing mode and a plotting mode are detected by a detecting circuit 22, a timer counter 23 is made to count up. Further, generation of the paper-feeding signal from a paper-feeding signal generating circuit 25 is inhibited until an overflow occurs in the timer counter 23, and instead, the paper-feeding signal for a printing operation is outputted. The period of time set on the counter 23 is made to be equal to the period of time in which the paper is moved from a recording head to the toner applicator part at the paper-feeding speed for the printing operation. When an overflow occurs in the counter 23, an original operation of feeding the paper at a high speed is restarted. |
