PURPOSE:To achieve an easier measurement of the cycle of an input pulse signal with a simple circuit by counting the number of clock pulses between OR signals of several types of input pulses while an added value of counts of the same type is determined with a microcomputer. CONSTITUTION:An output signal C of an AND gate circuit 10 is delayed sequentially with first and second delay circuits 11 and 12. A counter 14 counts a clock pulse CP to output the results and is reset by an output signal E from the second delay circuit 12. Counts Q immediately before the resetting of the counter 14 are held with a first latch circuit 15 by an output signal D of the first delay circuit 11. By the subsequent output signal C, output signal L1 is latched with the second latch circuit 16. By the output signal C, a microcomputer 19 is entered into a interrupt mode to discriminate the state of ports P1 and P2 so that the type of the input pulse signal can be identified and written sequentially into a memory together with the output counts Q of the second latch circuit 16. Two same input numbers adjacent to each other are led out from the new side of input numbers to determine the cycle of input pulse signals A and B.
