PURPOSE:An agent for attracting and killing cockroaches that is prepared by kneading roasted wheat flour, boric acid, carrier powder, flavors and milk and forming the mixture into balls, pellets or beads, thus having high action of attracting and killing cockroaches, because of its high palatability. CONSTITUTION:The objective agent is obtained by using 18-21wt% of roasted wheat flour, 40-55wt% of boric acid, 3-5wt% of carrier powder such as kieselguhr, 3-6wt% of sweetening such as sugar, 3-6% of flavors such as crushed vegetables, e.g., onion not dried, and 15-25wt% of milk. Since this agent is relatively low in evaporation-off of a variety of odor components which attract cockroaches and of water, long-term and durative use is possible without deterioration in its effect. The agent is prepared, e.g., by adding crushed vegetables and milk to a mixture of powders of boric acid and the carrier to effect sufficient kneading, further adding a mixture of roasted wheat flour and sugar intermittently to the product under kneading.
