PURPOSE:To provide the titled mixture which has electromagnetic wave absorptivity and magnetic shielding power and is excellent in vibration-proofness, waterproofness, etc. and useful as an electromagnetic wave absorbing material, etc., consisting of magnetic ferrite in a hydrated state (hereinafter referred to as ferrite by-product), rubber and additives. CONSTITUTION:Ferrite by-product in a hydrated state, in an agglomerated state and in a form contg. salts is homogeneously dispersed in a rubber such as natural rubber or a synthetic rubber, or in a blend of the rubber and additives to prepare a rubber mixture. The mixture is molded and vulcanized to integrate it, thus obtaining the desired mixture of hydrated ferrite by-product and rubber.
