NEW MATERIAL:The composite of fibrinogen and a physiologically active substance. EXAMPLE:Fibrinogen.daunomycin composite. USE:A carrier of antitumor substance, antibiotic substance, and anti-inflammatory substance. It has been found that the artificially administered fibrinogen is accumulated specifically to the diseased part such as wound, inflammation, proliferation site of neoplasma, etc. From the above finding, the fibrinogen is used as a carrier to improve the transferability of a physiologically active substance to the diseased part. The physiologically active substance is, e.g. antitumor substance (e.g. daunomycin, toxorubicin, etc.), antibacterial agent (e.g. penicillin, cephalosporin, etc.) and antiinflammatory substance (e.g. secretine, etc.). PREPARATION:The titled composite is prepared by reacting fibrinogen with a protein-crosslinking agent (e.g. glutaraldehyde, carbodiimide, etc.) and a physiologically active substance in a buffer solution of 5-8pH.
