<p>The present invention concerns a laser processing apparatus for cutting plate-shaped work by laser beams, and in particular, it is related to an improvement of its workability by correctly detecting its focusing. The present invention is provided with an adjustable light shielding member which shields a part of laser beams, and sequentially-arranged light sensors which produce outputs in proportion to the quantities of laser beams, and at least either one of the light shielding member of the light sensors are moved in the direction of the optical axis and the position at which the outputs of the aforesaid light sensors become maximum or minimum is detected, thereby making it possible to detect the correct focusing position.</p> |
