PURPOSE:A plated resin article excellent in heat resistance, mechanical properties, etc., obtained by plating a molding of a resin composition comprising an aromatic polycarbonate and two thermoplastic graft copolymers. CONSTITUTION:The following components are blended together by means of a tumbler, extruder, or the like: (A) about 35-80pts.wt. aromatic polycarbonate (e.g., L-1250, a product of Teijin Kasei, Ltd.), (B) about 10-50wt% thermoplastic graft copolymer prepared by grafting a vinyl cyanide compound and an aromatic vinyl compound onto a diene rubber component (so-called ABS resin), and (C) about 1-20wt% thermoplastic graft copolymer prepared by grafting a (meth) acrylate ester and an aromatic vinyl compound onto a diene rubber component (so-called MBS resin). The resulting resin composition is molded into the desired shape, and electroplated with copper or the like to obtain a plated resin article. |
