PURPOSE:To prepare beta-D-glucuronidase, in high efficiency, by culturing microorganisms belonging to Alcaligenes genus. CONSTITUTION:A microbial strain belonging to Alcaligenes genus and capable of producing beta-D-glucuronidase, e.g. Alcaligenes NG-11 strain (FERM-P No.6815) is cultured under aerobic condition and nearly neutral pH condition at 25-35 deg.C for 1-2 days, and beta-D-glucuronidase is separated from the cultured microbial cells.
