The lock comprises discs (1) loosely mounted on an axis (7), each (1) containing a peripheral notch (2). One disc (10) is fixed to the axis and incorporates a notch (4) having one edge inclined. A numerical combination is introduced into the lock by a graduated key which attaches to the axis at the front of the lock using holes (9). The key transmits rotational movement to the discs via the fixed disc (10) and fingers (3) extending to either side of the discs. When all the notches (2) are aligned, a bar (8) attached to the release mechanism (5) engages into the notches (2) transmitting rotation of the axis (7) to the release.
