The furnace consists of a metal cylinder of suitable length, lined on the inside with refractory material and provided with hoops for rolling, on which a series of supporting wheels rests; burners situated in the lower part of cylinder, the gases generated in which move upwards; a cylindrical metal lining which receives the raw material into its upper part and is equipped in its lower part with outlets through which the prod. leaves; and a chimney which expels the gases from the interior.
