PURPOSE:To separate surely individual briquettes from a belt-like briquette by suspending a retaining metal with suitable pressing force in a way as to press the briquettes. CONSTITUTION:A belt-like briquette extruded from forming rolls 3, 3 is successively bent while the briquette passes a chute 26. Said briquette is fed to a strand divider 10 and during this time the rotating speed of a guide roll 29 is turned not to exceed the extruding speed of the rolls 3, 3 at all times and therefore the belt-like briquette is advanced surely in contact with the base 26a of the chute 26. The bending stress generated in the briquette belt is kept lower than the min. tensile force in the cross section at all times and the briquette belt is fed smoothly to the divider 10 without being ruptured. The broken briquette is fed smoothly and surely to a pressing metal 14 while the tuned speed is maintained and therefore there is no obstruction in the separating function by the divider 10. |
