Brewery waste with a normal moisture content of 65.7%, mixed with liquid yeast contg. 10-15% yeast, is subjected to an autolytic process, the procedure being adapted to suit the animal requirements: (a) for ruminant cattle, the autolytic process is carried out for 5-6 h. at around 10 deg. C, with 5% sodium chloride addn.: (b) for pigs, the process consists of accelerated autolysis at low temp. in an inert broth with high vitamin content at 32-36 deg. C and with salt concn. of 3.5-4% NaCl. |
