PURPOSE:To obtain a low carbon steel sheet with superior press workability by rolling an Al killed steel billet contg. prescribed percentages of C, Mn and acid-sol. Al under prescrived condition. CONSTITUTION:An Al killed steel contg. <=0.08wt% C, <=0.4wt%Mn and <= 0.02wt% acid-sol. Al is refined and cast into a billet. The billet is treated so as to precipitate aluminum nitride, and it is rolled at 700-400 deg.C, >=80% total draft and >=20% draft at the final pass. The resulting sheet is subjected to recrystallization treatment, and it is rolled at 1-10% draft. Pickling may be carried out before the rolling. By this method a low carbon steel sheet with superior press workability is obtd. |
