<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts by arranging a switchover mirror box in the route of laser beam for cutting roll paper between a polyhedral mirror and a correction lens for radiating a roll paper holder by the switchover thereof to detect the remaind amount. CONSTITUTION:When a laser source 22 and a motor 20 are started, the laser beam of low output is radiated toward a roll paper cutting part 18 via a rotating polyhedral mirror 21 and a correction lens 19. Since a switchover mirror 23A of a switchover mirror box 23 arranged in the route of the beam is directed to a fixed mirror 23B, the beam is radiated to the side of a roll paper holder 15, and the remaind amount of a roll paper 28 is detected by light-receiving elements 24... to be indicated. When duplication is started and the top of the roll paper 28 is detected by a paper-top detector, a control circuit switches the laser source 22 over to high output, and simultaneously the switchover mirror 23A is switched over to radiate a cutting part 18 for cutting the roll paper 28. This construction permits to reduce the number of parts, the frequency of troubles, and the space of installation.</p> |
