<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the slip movement of an electric vehicle provided with two air brakes, by putting one brake in operation when the pneumatic braking force that both air brakes should share is not higher than a prescribed level and by putting both the air brakes in operation when the braking force is higher than the prescribed level. CONSTITUTION:When a braking instruction 1a is applied from a braking instruction unit 1, an electric brake 8 is put in operation according to an electric braking instruction 2a from a controller 2 to apply an electric braking force to a first moving unit 9a. At that time, a comparator 3 compares a braking torque signal 2b with the braking instruction 1a to send out a braking force supplementing signal 3a if the electric braking force is insufficient. The supplementing signal 3a causes a limiter 4 to send out a signal 4a for applying a braking force up to a prescribed level, to put an air brake 7b in operation. If the insufficiency of the electric braking force is larger than the braking force of the air brake 7b, another air brake 7a is put in operation so that the total braking force of both the air brakes is not less than the insufficiency.</p> |
