PURPOSE:To permit extremely quick elimination of the cause for abnormality by selecting the signal corresponding to the abnormality and changing over a welding condition signal of a digital display device to an abnormality signal when the abnormality arises in arc welding. CONSTITUTION:The welding condition in the stage of welding in an arc welding machine is detected with a current and voltage detector 22, and is displayed on a digital display device 28 via a decoder 26. A display selector 24 provided with a thermoswitch 12, a cooling water pressure switch 14, and a phase missing detecting switch 16 is provided between the detector 22 and the decoder 26. When abnormality arises during welding, the signals from abnormality detecting switches 12, 14, 16 corresponding to the abnormality are selected by the selector 24 and the display signal to the device 28 is changed over from the welding condition signal to the abnormality signal and the abnormality value corresponding to the cause for the abnormality is displayed in the device 28. |
