PURPOSE:To simplify structure and obtain a small-sized and light-weight apparatus by arranging at least three changing units under a seat cushion so that the upper and the lower pivotal shafts lower are directed in the radial direction and the enveloping surface of a swing arm forms a conical form. CONSTITUTION:A direction changing apparatus 1 is constituted by fixing four changing units 2a-2d onto the front and back cross-members A3 and A4 under a seat cushion A1. Said changing unit 2a-2d is formed nearly in a same form, and the basic edge of a swing arm 22 is pivotally supported onto a base bracket 21 fixed onto the installation part of a seat A, through a lower-part pivotal shaft 23, and a tilted bracket 25 is pivotally supported at the upper edge of the swing arm 22 through an upper pivotal shaft 24, and an upper-part supporting bracket 26 fixed onto the cushion Ai is pivotally supported onto the tilted bracket 25 through a pivotal shaft 27. Thus, the seat can be direction-changed by a small angle by a simple, small-sized, and lightweight structure. |
