PURPOSE:To cut a steel plate to have an extremely satisfactory cut face by directing perpendicularly high-pressure oxygen flow to the steel plate in the stage of gas cutting and maintaining the distance between a preheating port and the steel plate at the prescribed distance. CONSTITUTION:A bolt 22 for adjusting the angle of inclination is adjusted to incline a high-pressure oxygen port 16 forward by a prescribed angle Q2 relative with the traveling direction B so that high-pressure oxygen flow 40 is ejected perpendicularly to a steel plate 39 in the stage of cutting the plate 39 at a high speed by using an eccentric type nozzle. On the other hand, a connecting bolt 30 is loosened to move the 2nd lever 29 along the 1st lever 28 to position a preheating port 17 at the prescribed height on the plate 39. When high-speed cutting is performed in this state, the plate 39 is thoroughly preheated at the port 17 and the satisfactory cut face is obtd. |
