A seam for joining ends of a forming wire press fabric comprises warps(10) interwoven with weft(12). A part of the warps is prolonged and is rewoven backward with the wefts while forming tails(20, 20'), which protrude at the ends of the fabric. A pin warp(18), which has a thickness equal to or smaller than the other warps and is made of monofilaments, is inserted into the tails. The seam (s) of the two fabrics is woven tightly by tightening the tails.
