PURPOSE:To obtain a heat accumulative material lowering supercooling during solidification, having performance stable to long-term heat cycle, by melting a material mixture prepared by adding sodium carbonate to sodium acetate trihydrate, cooling it, making it undergo solidification once. CONSTITUTION:Preferably 0.05-10wt% sodium carbonate is added to sodium acetate trihydrate to give a material mixture, which is melted, and then cooled, so that it is made to undergo solidification once, to give the desired heat accumulative material. The experience of solidification is preferably carried out by adding a very small amount of sodium acetate trihydrate or anhydride to the material mixture which is still in a liquid state even if it is cooled to room temperature, or by cooling the material mixture in a molten state to -20 deg.C. When <=10wt% water is further added to the sodium acetate trihydrate, reduction in performance is preferably prevented.
