PURPOSE:To obtain the titled molding excellent in the dimensional stability to water with a hard surface by a method wherein an esterified woody matter containing carboxyl having a dibasic acid anhydride added is kneaded with a compound containing epoxy group added and undergoes a thermopressure molding. CONSTITUTION:An esterified woody matter containing carboxyl in which dibasic acid anhydride such as maleic anhydride and succinic anhydride is added to hydroxyl group in a woody matter comprising a chip, a wood powder or a boiled thereof is mixed with a compound two epoxy groups or more in a molecule such as bisphenol type epoxy compound. Then, after the sufficient kneading thereof, the kneaded mixture is placed into a metal die for molding whether preheated or as intact, and undergoes a thermopressure molding to obtain the desired woody molding.
