PURPOSE:To hold a gap between a head and a recording medium uniform with use of the same head by press-contacting a flexible piezoelectric material which is driven by the signal voltage in response to the relative positions of the head and the medium, and reducing the variance of the floating degree of the head. CONSTITUTION:A flexible piezoelectric material 3 is adhered to a spring member 2 which supports a magnetic head 1. The voltage corresponding to the relative positions of the head 1 and a recording medium is applied to both sides of the material 3 from a power supply connected to a head position detecting mechanism. The above-mentioned relative positions are possible to correspond to the height of the head 1 on the recording medium. Especially it is convenient to set the relative positions with a space equal to the distance in the disk radius direction in case of a disk medium. |
