Control for a coupling device such as a clutch, accelerator, brake or the like. The coupling state is modified as a function of the position of a movable assembly 14, 15 including a spring 15 for return to a limit position P1. The opposing linkage 18, 19 is adapted to act on the assembly 14, 15 in order to cause it to move from the position P1 to the position P2 and vice versa. The linkage 18, 19 interacts, on the one hand, with an electric motor 20, and, on the other hand, with a spring 60 for moderating the operating force. The spring 60 is hooked to a movable point 62 linked in displacement with a rack gear 27 which is itself linked to the linkage 18, 19. <IMAGE>
