<p>PURPOSE:To permit easy attachment and detachment of a rotary drum by providing upper and lower supporting frame bodies, and constituting the rotary drum and a developing device into a unit, and mounting freely attachably and detachably said unit to the upper supporting frame body. CONSTITUTION:The constituting elements positioned below an alternate long and short dash line 130 (a copying paper feeder 40, corona discharger 32 for transfer, corona discharger 34 for stripping and fixing device 81) are mounted in a lower supporting frame body and the constituting elements positioned above the line 130 (a rotary drum 12, corona discharger 28 for charging, cleaning device 36 and optical device) are mounted in an upper supporting frame body. Therefore if the upper supporting frame body is brought into an open position, the greater part of the route for conveying a sheet member is opened and the operation such as repair, inspection, cleaning and exchange is easily and quickly accomplished.</p> |
