PURPOSE:The titled print wire and wire guide with greater wear resistance by depositing a film of a trialloy of Ni, B and W on the surface by a non-electrolytic plating to thermally treat the film. CONSTITUTION:A film of a trialloy of Ni, B and W excellent in the wear resistance with a higher hardness is deposited on the surface of a print wire 5 made of W by non-electrolytic plating and undergoes a thermal treatment at 400 deg.C for 3hr to improve it to 1,200HV in the Vicker's hardness. Likewise, a film of a trialloy of Ni, B and W is deposited on the surface of a wire guide 6 made of an SK material and undergoes a thermal treatment to improve it to 1,200HV in the Vicker's hardness. The non-electrolytic plating enables the deposition of an even film. Thus, a longer print life is enabled. |
